D Registrar of d Joint Admissions Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, don talk say if dem build Computer Based Test Centre for Abeokuta, e go epp the candidates wey wan write d exam for Ogun, Lagos wit other Southwest States.
Him talk dis one just after the Governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, lay d foundation of d building wey dey talk say fit chop up to N1bn, for Oke Mosan, Abeokuta.
When dem complete am, na JAMB go pay for d building and d National Communications Commission go put 5,000 candidates for exams.
Oloyede explain say 36 per cent of d candidates wey dey register and sit for d UTME every year, 17 per cent come from Ogun, den 19 per cent come from Lagos state. Dis na why dem want build mega CBT centre for Abeokuta wey go cater for d large number of candidates.
Him say e go make d process of registration and conduct of exam for d candidates easy.
The JAMB registrar, come yan say:
“D Federal Government don direct make NCC construct two CBT centres for d North and Southern parts of Naija. I don apply for centre for Ogun State and dem grant am. Ogun State Government out of dia kind heart, come give JAMB dis land.
“Wetin we bin wan do na to get mega CBT centre for Lagos State but cos of space wey no dey, we come go back our drawing board, comot see say it dem build am for Abeokuta, e go dey useful for d entire South-West states.”
Him still talk say dem dey try build dese same centres for Bauchi (Bauchi State) wit Owerri (Imo State), and plenty oda states.
